Del Toro's 'At the Mountains of Madness' Rumored For James McAvoy, Tom Cruise

James McAvoy or Tom Cruise – Who is the more skilled top man?

The James Cameron-produced 3D adaptation of H.P - In the future At the Mountains of Madness. Lovecraft's fable of the unchanged title which tells the tale of an Antarctic journey that discovers uncertain life figures in a mountain range higher than the Himalayas -- director Guillermo del Toro and Universal Studios can't agree.

Mainly, Universal wants McAvoy and del Toro wants Cruise (gossips are that they developed a well-built bond after discussion on doing a reboot of Van Helsing). Production is set to begin in May 2011 and both actors will be unoccupied at that point -- McAvoy will have long refined shooting X-Men: First Class and Cruise will already be there appearing at a rough cut of Mission: Impossible IV by then. The question now is: which foremost man is additional bankable these days?

As much as we hate to oppose with the del Toro -- the intellect that brought us Pan's Labyrinth -- the studio is correct. McAvoy is an enhanced fit. If Cruise was the foremost, I disappointedly think that audiences won't be able to quake the truth that the guy foremost a journey into dark magical territory is Maverick, Ethan Hunt, or that white dude who clad as a samurai. He's too much the hero that we reckon on to set aside the day and that will work adjacent to build up of anticipation throughout the film. Sorry Tom, on to the subsequently one!
